We have found this site near Forcaquier that we are interested in for our August holiday in a touring caravan, can not find many reviews on the site, has anybody  here stayed here or any other information on the surrounding area?

I know the gorges du verdon are within the area which we definately want to visit.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

We don't know that site (we go to cheaper ones !)  but we know and like that area very much.

Yes, the Gorges du Verdon are a must, and we liked the villages over that way like   Cotignac - and all the tile making workshops around Salernes (where Fired Earth buy their stock ).

In the other direction, to the west, Apt is amazing on market day (but go VERY early to park), and the old ochre quarries at Rustrel provide a fascinating walk (wear old clothes). And lots of very pretty / pretty dear villages over there like Rousillon and Gordes. Peter Mayle wrote all about daily life in the Luberon area and you can read that up before you go.

Come back to me if you want more detail.

In search of a smallish riverside/lakeside campsite within child-friendly walking distance of a village.
