We don't know that site (we go to cheaper ones !) but we know and like that area very much.
Yes, the Gorges du Verdon are a must, and we liked the villages over that way like Cotignac - and all the tile making workshops around Salernes (where Fired Earth buy their stock ).
In the other direction, to the west, Apt is amazing on market day (but go VERY early to park), and the old ochre quarries at Rustrel provide a fascinating walk (wear old clothes). And lots of very pretty / pretty dear villages over there like Rousillon and Gordes. Peter Mayle wrote all about daily life in the Luberon area and you can read that up before you go.
