We're off to holland at the end of the month and I wonder if anyone could answer the following questions for me
Do I need to do anything to be able to connect to their electricity? Do I need polarity checkers or european plug cables?
Are there any link ATM machines near to Duinrell?
Anywhere good to eat in Wassanar that anyone can recommend?
I want to buy duty free tobacco - am I best to get it on the ferry or in Wassanar? Any ideas how much tobacco is? Can I pay for duty free on the ferry with my credit card? If I pay cash do I use £ or Euro?

No such thing as 'duty free' anymore within the EU but many countries have far less duty on baccy than UK. If you are getting a ferry direct to Holland then I'm sure their shop will sell at Dutch duty prices, have UK brands & they will accept credit cards. Shops in Holland will have Dutch brands, VanNelle, Drum etc but I doubt they will have UK brands.
If you are driving from Calais or Dunkirk, go off at first exit over Belgian border into Adinkerke. Large baccy shop as you turn left at roundabout. All yer fave UK brands at about £4.50/50gr pouch. They take £cash or €s. Don't use credit card there it will work out more expensive.
not sure about EHU but it is a very ordered site and I seem to remember campers with tvs and I expect you will be able to get what you need above and beyond standard euro adapters.
The site has its own atm at the campsite entry point into the theme park (as apposed to the day trippers entry) It had ING cash points last time I saw it though that was a few years ago now. there are other points within the theme park too.
Never really found anywhere special to eat locally though the theme park has a few places and the campsite has a buffet place plus a bistro and pizza take a way. the buffet is not that good and we have never tried the bistro but the mini pancakes from a stall inside the park are to die for!
there is a place to eat right outside the theme park but I expect that will be quite touristy too.
You can easily walk into town from this site so there may be places there.
Of course there will be ATM machines, of course they will sell tobacco, of course their electricity will be OK, of course they will speak English as well. You'll even be able to get apple tart.

If you want salt and vinegar crisps, though, better bring your own. (You can get "sea salt and balsamic vinegar" type stuff, but it's not the same.)

Actually not as plentiful as in UK or France & UK credit/debit cards not as widely accepted as you might think. Ok at motorway services but not always at supermarkets or shops, even large chains.
& for those worried about reverse polarity, Dutch supply is not specifically polarised.

As you walk into Wassenaar via the church you come to a small square that has a couple of pizza restaurants on it. We didn't eat in but got a take out to eat back at the campsite from the one on the same side of the road as the church. The pizzas were excellent and you can have a couple of beers while you watch them make the pizzas for you.
There is a brilliant icecream parlour in the village...1e for a small cone. At the weekends the queues are enormous but it is open to 10pm I think. Best icecream ever and you can sit outside and people watch while you enjoy it.This became our daily treat!
Sorry but can't help with many of your questions, but we stayed at Duinrell last Easter had a great time, but do avoid the restaurant in the campsite - absolute rip off!
We arrived late on our first night, our 2 teenagers were hungry so sent them off with some euros - they came back with 2 pizzas, very basic cheese and tom, about the size of the palm of my hand and 7 euros each - total con - so put us off eating at all on camp.
We bought all our supplies from Lidl, but as mentioned in previous posts they do not take credit/debit cards and out of all the supermarkets I would have thought they would. So take plenty of cash!
Have fun - rides are great, but still closes early even in Summmer which I think is a shame.

Correct & just to add that whilst ATM machines are prevalent on site, the local pay at pump fuel stations in Wassenaar only seemed to accept Mastercard (no VISA or Amex). Or pay significantly more at the one cash accepting station in the village.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
