i think stuarts times are a little more realistc, especially the toilet breaks and leg stretches (not just for the kids!)
when i take my trailer i normally travel at around 60-70 mph with no problems,(though i dont know the legal limits), on the assumption that if youre not driving like a madman, exceeding the speed limit, overtaking everything etc then its unlikely you will be pulled over.
time of travel will also be a factor as will choice of route. if i take my trailer (3.5m) i normally use the non toll roads as i would only be driving at 'normal' speeds, the faster option of the toll roads isnt an advantage, yes it adds about an hour or so to the journey, but saves me around 50 euros each way (calais to the vendee - passing within 20 miles or so of honfleur) - your tolls would be cheaper though if you decide to use them!
