Hi
Does any one know about the reverse polarity thing at La Guyonniere at all?
Also will I need any adaptive on my ehu, it's got what I believe is a standard 3 round pin on it.
Thanks

Hi Smiledmb.
I have not been to that campsite, but reverse polarity should not be of concern, unless you have electrical kit that has exposed Negative wiring, such as screw in bulb holders etc, but this would be unlikley with camping kit.
Personaly I do carry a reverse polarity adapter, as I like my Positive to be were it's meant to be, and also my 3 way EHU has a Polarity reverse warning light, so I don't like to see that on.
The reverse polarity adapters are easy to make, should you feel the need to have one.
All you need is a Female Commando trailing blue socket and a Male Commando Plug/connector, simply join them together with 30cm lengh of Orange Artic cable, reverse wire, and there you have it, total cost under a fiver.
you may also need an english to french (2 pin ) converter, depends on the EHU outlet on the site. A polarity tester is i think a must as well as nearly all products abroad are double pole protected and british are live pole protected so if polarity is reversed the item will still be live. you can buy the tails made up, short length about a metre, british blue three pin one end, french two pin other. I have 2 one correctly wired one reversed live/neutral, then when i test and polarity is reversed i just change the tail :)
