Hi all,we're hitting France in a couple of weeks for the first time and have booked in at La Croix du Vieux Pont.Have read the reviews-good and bad!!!-and it seems that it depends where you are pitched on the site as to how good the facilities are!!
Please can someone reassure me...??!!!
also...do they have a 'rule' about men's swimwear? have read that a lot of french sites like speedos-hubby said 'over his dead body'!!!Can't find anything on the website.
...and.....have also heard that weather is going to be a bit dodgy over there-one of the reasons we're going is for a bit of sun!! does anybody know of a weather website that will give local weather for where we're going?
Thank you!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Hi
we were there the first week in July and was quite impressed with the site. We thought the shower blocks were lovely, and there was plenty going on for children.
We had two 16 year old girls with us and even they found enough to amuse them.
My husband doesn't 'do' swimming pools and I can't remember whether the 'budgie smuggler' rule applied.
I will go back again next year, around the same time so that I can use Camping Cheques. Great value for £13.95 per night.
Weather-wise, we had fantastic weather, T shirts all week, which we didn't really expect - I think maybe we were lucky.

IIRC i went there a few years back and there was a sign regarding "Speedo's ,Budgie Smugglers" must be warn but all the kids and teenagers i saw in the pool were wearing baggy shorts
...thanks for that- has put my mind at rest a bit-and hubbys!!!LOL!!

Can anyone tell me which bit of the site is the "Parc"?
I've had a look at the map on their website, but there's no mention of it, nor names for the different areas.
I ask because they have told us there are a few pitches left with hook-ups, but only in the "parc" area, and some of the reviews say that bit is noisy/prone to flooding.
We were planning to turn up there next Monday for a week.
Thanks for any info/help.
