Hi

Hoping to go over to Irela nd in September 2011 for upto a month. We are hoping to tour round southern ireland. If you have done likewise then would you recommend that we book the sites before we set off.  We are hoping to have the freedom to move around as the mode takes us but dont want to be left stranded with no where to park the motorhome.

Thanking you in anticipation

Ray T

Should'nt need to book at all but maybe a phone call the day before to check.

The Glen of Aherlow site is popular with C.C. members so check there.

I can recommend the above as well as Hidden Valley at Rathdrum but busy at weekends, Blarney, Glenross and Nagles at Doolin for starters.

Have you looked at http://www.camping-ireland.ie/ for closing dates and other sites?

Hi Ray,

You should have no need to book any sites in September. All the children will be bach in school so the sites will be relatively quiet. As Matz says above have a look at the camping Ireland website and make your choices.depending on what time you arrive then Camac Valley on the Naas road near Dublin may be a good first/last overnight stop.

There are numerous sites in Kerry like Flemmings and Glenross but have a look at Wavecrest on the ring of Kerry.Beautifull if you get the weather.Nagles in Doolin is also a lovely site .You can get a boat to the Arran Islands within 700meters from the site. Also if you are there around 12/14th Sept there is a great festival in Lisdoonvarna around 2km from the site.there are also many pubs nearby and they all have great Irish music every night.

Hope this helps,if you have any further queries just holler.

John.
