I like to listen to the radio as I drive. I don't know why but I don't realy like lisening to CD's I think it is the totaly random selection that the radio plays. so here is my question.....
Does anyone know of a good national radio ststion in france that plays a good selection of music with a little, but not to much chat in between (i know a lot of french radio stations seem to be hours of chat punctuated by one song if you are lucky). If you do do you know the frequency to tune in on.
------------- When you wake up in the morning to the sounds and sights of the campsite, ask yourself one question.....who's nicked my tent?????
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
RFM, Nostalgie, Cherie FM, NRJ (Energy) are all ones that we listen to, but I'm sorry I don't know the frequencies.
All play a mix of Anglo-American, and French music, (usually alternately) and there's little chat at all. Occasional competitions feature, but not that much. Some have a lot of advertising, some very little.
There is also a 'Blues' station - France Bleu - which is provincial, and varies from place to place.
The Autoroute radio 107.7 is also good for a mix of music, and interrrupts with frequent traffic news - on the main autoroutes in high season there's a bulletin in English about twice an hour.
agree with Val A,all perfectly listenable ...RFM our favourite but also listened to the others.
occasionally we have them on at home on the internet radio
Some of the Autoroutes have quite good stations - 107.7 on the route to Spain gives regular traffic reports in English in July/Aug, and all year, plays good music. Nostalgie is our favorite French station
Nostalgie and NRJ are the ones we tend to listen, lots of cheesy music that was probably someones entry in a Eurovision song contest.
One year we heard a fantastic catchy song, and it turned out to be a busker from the UK who was making a name for himself in Europe. Charlie Winston.
I am a classical muscian so tend to listen to classical in the UK, so the catchy euro(crap) puts me in holiday mode. Some of the adverts are actually quite amusing.
This time next Wednesday I'll be very giddy about annual pilgrimage to la belle France. Lets hope the meteo forecast is acurate.
