My family are planning to visit the Bay of Somme for 3 nights on route to the Loire and having spent ages reading reviews are finding that with plenty of choice there are a fair few with bad reviews, and in addition to that there are hardly any that would give change out of 30 Euro's a night.

If anyone knows a small and friendly gem at reasonable prices, please shout.

2 adults, 2 children , with bikes, end of aug.

We over-nighted in July on the municipal site at Eu, just inland from Treport, and would happily go back there for a few days stay. It is in the grounds of the Chateau and is a five minute stroll into town. For a pitch with electrical hook-up, we paid about 12 euros for our motorhome, the 2 of us, and our dog. They also have free wi-fi.

thank you both.

Lilyjoy, thank you, looks great. We had also looked at the sister site, val de trie, next door, and wonder on the benefits of either. Did you nip accross and use the facilities or was it quite separate ? From the web I am guessing both the play areas are next door.

I am of to look at camping cheques now as we have never used them before.

Hi we liked this site much better .The sister site is smaller and very shady. The pitches are small too.Clos is very nice. The pitches are huge. There is a brill pay area and a bouncy castle. The facilites are new too, very nice. Both sites are run by the same family, and they are lovely.I was rushed into hospital and Marie Claire was so helpful, even made my appointments for me.It's Touring cheques not camping cheques at Clos.We got 3 weeks for 2 at £13.95 a night. We are talking of leaving the van there and using it througout the year is so nice.Very central.A wonderful area.We have always been a south France Hol,but after being here really changed our minds. So much to do and see.I cant prais it enough. To use the pool and resturant is only a shoer walk across a small road. The food is very good and good value.

I have just posted a review on Val de Trie. We have just returned from the Loire and stayed there 1 night on the way and 2 nights on the way back. Great stopover site, beautiful location. We noticed the sister site but didn't go in but am sure it will be fine.
