anyone recommend a decent site in the above area ? We arrive Calais 7.30 am & instead of blasting down south straight away, want to find a site reasonably close to hypermarkets etc , stock up on grub / beer/wine & of course cheap diesel & chill / sleep for a day before going south the next day.

Stopped at camp du vallee about 5 mile from calais , nice enough site but pricey & you still had to pay for showers so would like to try somewhere else this time.Even Boulogne area would be fine , some good hypermarkets there also.

And this is fantastic and only 2 miles (well  signposted) from the motorway.

This is one of my favorites http://www.chateau-gandspette.com/ its about half an hour from Calais, there is a small supermarket 2 minutes from the site  or here http://perso.wanadoo.fr/..manoirdesenlecques/ this one is a bit quirky but very near the large Auchen at Boulogne. Gandspette tales Camping Cheques which reduces the price a bit otherwise about £16 a night.
