Hello all,

Looking to have our first camping trip abroad next year in the SW region of france, Perhaps Royan or a touch closer to home in La Rochelle, two kids so Pools a must, any tips. Will be taking a big tent and kitchen sink so pitches need to be a good size.

Les Brunelles in the Vendee is a good site for kids. One of the best swimming pools I've seen in France and a short walk from the beach. Have a look here

Nice site!  Also check out Seqouia Parc we went there in 2009 in our tent and kitchen sink too!!  Our pitch was massive - but I would definitely request that on booking.  Excellent pool and within a short drive to I'le D'oleron and also Marennes beach which has a warm shallow lagoon making it very child friendly

We love Moulin du Roch near Sarlat in the Dordogne.  Friendly staff, fab pool and lovely clean site, big pitches and very peaceful especially at top of terraces.  Have a look here http://www.moulin-du-roch.com/

Looking for a campsite with very large pitches 130 m2 plus close access to beach and activities for 14 year old boy and two girls 17 and 20.

Been to Vendee several times and really like area but try to visit different camps each time.recently been to les amieux and la garang.

Any more ideas please.

Not averse to travelling a little further south.
