Hi All,

We are looking for a site in Spain where we could also store the caravan when its not in use.

We have 3 children aged 14 15 18 so we would want somewhere that has good facilities for that age group and preferably close to a beach and amenities.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I was about to post a similar post to yours, we have also been thinking of leaving our van in storage in Spain, due too the cost of fuel (mind you still works out a cheaper than flying but i hate it) and we prefer the camping life to hotels and apartments and its good to have access to the car for roaming around. We have been quoted 305euro not at a site but at a storage facility works out cheaper than we pay in the uk, they also offer cleaning and a service at extra cost, and tow it to sites in the area for a fee, its in the Girona area called Caravan inn www.caravaninn.net/gb/ , anyone used it before? there are plenty of sites around the bay of roses, we are booking las dunas for next year, plus the storage facility opens up a gateway to see more of Spain and Portugal...

Hi All

Do any of you seasoned motorhomers, Caravanners or campers
on here know of any good sites in Spain where i could perhaps get a permanent pitch or at least store my caravan
there for 2012.

Thanks in advance,

Tony.

This thread seems to be asking the same as the one called "Spain", but the title of this one is clear as to what is required.

Mods, perhaps they could be merged into the one post to prevent confusion etc, as people are replying to both?

I'd opted for Caravan Inn this summer, but it got dumped after the person who was quoting me prices reckoned I was in the higher size category by 3cms and would pay 84 euros a year more! It annoyed me because I'd filled out the paperwork they'd sent me and returned it. The owner later wrote and quoted me the lower price but the damage was done and I opted for Caravancare San Martin near Reus. We're in the north west and there are Liverpool flights to Reus too, so works out better for us if we don't want to drive down or family want to join us out there.

If you are still undecided, give them a thought or two. Very close to the motorway, the choice of busy resort like Salou or relaxed and quiet.

I know Torre del Sol on the Costa Brava store caravans: you don't want to leave it on pitch due to freaky weather: 100s of 'vans got damaged by hailstones as big as golf balls some years ago. Storage is indoors and they pitch the van for you before you arrive.

I know one or 2 English use the storage there: about 350Eur for the season.
