We might be able to get away in our motorhome for 10 days or so after Christmas, any suggestions where we could go?

We've got three kids of 12, 10 and 8, they enjoy cultural stuff but obviously anything involving water is a big hit - are there any really big waterparks in northern France or Belgium maybe that we could stay near?

Or will everywhere be shut?

I did consider skiing briefly but we haven't got the gear and I presume the really nice caravaneige sites with pools etc will be fully booked for that time of year.

Is Duinrell in Holland open?  I think their swimming pool complex is open all winter plus it's close to Amsterdam for a bit of culture.

thanks vickit, I've looked around a bit and Duinrell is indeed open!

Turns we won't be able to go away after all (which is good news really - dh is an IT contractor and we were going to take time off if his contract didn't get extended - they extended it last night).

I wouldn't have minded an impromptu holiday though, but probably not with accompanying joblessness...
