We stayed there on our way South, in  Bourges, in August this year - and the room rate was cheap.  Breakfast is on top.  Mister Bed is much like all the other 'cheaper end of the budget range'  hotels - typical double bed with bunk over, TV on a bracket in the corner, very small 'pod' bathroom.  It was clean, as was the bathroom.  However it's not typical in that it's not near to any of the 'chain' restaurants - which these hotels often are.  It's fairly quiet - near to a busy road, but we didn't get any road noise.  The reception staff gave us a sheet with some of the local restaurants, which was useful, and breakfast was OK for what we paid with fruit, yoghurt, meat, etc., on top of the usual croissants, breads, jams, and cereals.

It's easy enough to access once you've found it - though in an odd area off a junction, and back on yourself - so it's easy to miss - if that doesn't sound silly.

It wasn't the chain hotel I've mentioned in previous posts, with the noise through the night (we seriously thought someone had been murdered) - that one was the B and B hotel in Evreux on our way home, where we had a very disturbed night!

If it was Evreux it could have been a murder.

My work colleagues there always advised me to give Evreux and Dreux a miss for stopovers. I always used the Mercure in the town centre, but then I was "on expenses", now it's cheap and cheerful.

As the French Gendarmes didn't call us for a déclaration d'un témoin' we rather think it may have been a bit of 'very rough trade' - if you know what I mean!
