It could be worth your while getting a SANEF TAG, at least then you will only be charged the std car rate, if you go through the dedicated under 2m height TAG lane, which is the Toll lane located furthest over to the left hand side of the Toll Gallery, in other words the fast lane.
You may find going through the other Toll booths, that the operative may charge you the higher rate, or the auto sensors, may put you into a higher class, it does happen.
We used the TAG back in 2010, for this reason, as our trailer stands at 1.7m in height, of course the other benifit is that if there is a que at the Tolls, there won't be at the TAG lane.
Good thing about France, is that you can go at 81mph with your trailer quite legaly, in fact you can with a caravan even!, if your car is rated under 3500kg. MTLP

I posted some advice about what to do if this happens at an unmanned booth last year on this post.
It is worth checking on the display that it says class 1 if you are under 2 metres even with bikes on the back.

Camping Les Gorges du Loup
Hiya Tetchy, we've not camped as far south in France with our tent, but have been down to Canet Plage which is in the Languedoc region twice in a static....we're from Grimsby too and because our little lad was only a few months old the first time we went, we stayed over 2 nights each way, it made a big difference, and meant we could take our time over meal stops etc. I don't know if that's worth considering? The Etaps are really cheap, albeit basic.
The next year we made just the one stop and it was a long trek, it was 1000 miles door to door for us.
Incidentally We've got the same tent too although we've not tried ours yet, we're hoping to go up the road to Thorpe Park for 1 night at the end of March to try it out, it's too big for the garden!

We still haven't figured out the best/quickest way to pitch the tent! Thorpe park, isn't that just a little bit too close to home, if it was further away I would love to go there! We still might stay over 2 nights yet and thanks for the tip with the hotel
It's just to literally try the tent out, it just happens to be my birthday too, so the idea is we'll go on the lunch time, set the beast up and then pick up our 5 yr old from school....my older 2 (20 and 18) can join us for a meal and a drink if they want too (neither wants to camp out!) and there'll be the pool/ entertainment etc for the little one. I'd never go on a proper holiday as such there, it's just convenience for the one night to make sure everything's as it should be before we go to Callow Top the next week :-)

Hiya. E have the vango Marisa 700 and the best way to put it up is described on the tent review page, pegging down one end and then stacking each of the poles on top of each other before walking out. We've got it down pat to about 40 mins now tho lifting all the poles at once is quite tricky but manageable. Its also worth the effort, as you'll love your tent once its up. TX
