Hi, we are venturing to France on our first camping trip abroad, it will be two couples with a dog each, after a two day stop over around the Amiens area we will be heading to the South Vendee (north of La Rochelle probably)
Hoping someone could advise on what the weather is usually like in the last two weeks of June and any campsite recommendations, also... would we need to reserve pitches at this time of year?
Thanks in advance
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We went to the northern Vendee last two weeks of June in 2009. The first day wasn't great - drizzly and grey, not weather that did Les Sables d'Olonne any favours. The following 9 days were perfect - warm sunny days in and by the pool and lovely long evenings where you could sit out late and be warm enough in with a denim jacket/fleece over t-shirts and shorts.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
