I am hopeful that someone will know the answer to this one .....
We have a pitch booked at Camping Amfora in Spain in August. I've noticed, on the UKCampsite listing, that campfires are allowed here. Does anyone have any experience of this, as I can't find anything on their website about campfires. Do we need to take our own firepit etc? Although, hopefully, the weather will be far too hot for campfires in August !
Many thanks,
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Well, we went 3 years since, don,t recollect anybody having a campfire, would have thought too close to other folk and a real mixture of units , ie, tents caravans motorhomes on pitches , side by side, back to back. Are you sure it just don,t mean barbques ?
------------- Keep smiling, its later than you think !
No campfires are not allowed, gas bbq's are not even allowed if the weather is very dry and hot, which it is very often. Been there for the last 3 years and going again in July and have never seen a campfire.
We were there in June & July last year, and used a gas BBQ on several occasions, along with many others, who did likewise - BUT - we were parked in the "open" area at the bottom of the site,as opposed to the more densely foliaged area at the top of the site.

Hi also going July/August what about a cadaq is that classed the same as a BBQ
We have been in July and August for the last 3 years and have always used our Cadac, but the site does advertise that if they say the area is to dry then they will put a ban on the use of gas BBQ's, many sites have this in their "rules" and some have a blanket ban altogether.
