We are planning to visit the Castle used in the filming of Merlin in Pierrefonds Picardy. There is a campsite in Pierrefonds - Municipal de Batigny has anyone stayed there? It looks quite basic and as we are a family with 3 young kids I would really like a site with a pool as we will be there in August. Can anyone recommend a campsite nearby? maybe near Compeigne?

La Croix du Vieux Pont at Berny Riviere is about 20 miles from Pierrefonds, and has all the facilities you could want, including an indoor pool just in case of wet days. 

There are reviews on this website, under campsite search, but the search facility isn't working on my PC at the moment.

la croix is fab for kids and would certainly fit the bill

when we visited Pierrefonds we also stayed at La Croix. It will definately have more for your kids to do
