After a couple of very mediocre year's weather in the Dordogne I am soo glad that we've decided to head down to the Herault this year - espcially after the summer we've had so far this year.
We clearly go the Dordogne at the wrong time of the summer - usually the first 2 weeks of August as we have to be back in work for the exam results coming in - but we have had cloudy drizzle for quite a few days or even a week! - then our friends who go for the last 2 weeks of August don't see a drop of rain! grrrr
Just hoping that Domaine de Massereau is worth the expense & the drive!

Lucycat, we love Massereau, its well worth the drive. We are heading for the Dordogne the last two weeks of August (as we did last year). We had very hot weather last year but have already decided if the forecast os bad this year we'll just keep going south til we find sun.

Domaine du Verdon Castellane and Etoile d'Argens Frejus Aug
I booked the first 2 weeks of Aug, due to not getting the hols at work, now lost my job! I just know it will rain and be really busy that time of year. Grrrrr!
Cool kittiwake! Enjoy! We go on 19th, so just in front of you. Have already booked our site in Brittany but willing to lose the deposit if we can get some sun! Found a site in Medoc that has availability so need to decide quick!
Fingers crossed for Mr sunshine for everyone

We always go first two weeks of August and have generally had very good weather. (Apart from the Great Loire Soaking of 2008, which we shan't mention) so hopefully things will brighten up by then for everyone.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
