Hello,
We're off to France on Monday and have hired a fridge with our tent pitch. It's our first time in France so I want to be prepared and would appreciate any advice regarding cables etc.
So far, we have a normal UK 3 socket Hook Up cable and a Continental 2 pin converter (which I assume we use outside before plugging our UK cable into - the campsite have confirmed they use 2 pin). Do we need anything else? I'm worried about having a fridge inside the tent that we can't plug in.
Thanks

Your Fridge will almost certainly have a 2 pin plug, so you will require a converter to plug the fridge into you UK extension. As you say, you will require a converter to plug your UK extension into the campsite's electrical supply.

This is the type of converter we use, obviously you will need the other half of the blue plug fitted to your extension lead, available at most caravan and camping shops if you do not already have one. HERE

We are doing the same - hiring a fridge. I have bought a French to UK adaptor so that we can plug the French fridge into the UK ehu thingy.

I must remember to pack a UK to French adaptor so we can charge phones in the overnight hotel stops...

Far too many adaptors and plugs to think about....

Enjoy your trip!
