savanne we are leving grimsby lunchtime thursday and staying in a hotel and getting early tunnel friday morning so we will be well refreshed
i have also had a discussion with my friend and we have decided we are going to tour a bit so likely to do 3x 4 night stays in different areas, we are having a pre france meeting part 2 on sunday to discuss routes etc lol ..... how comlicated is it camping abroad..... you wouldnt believe we did it every year lol

We stayed there for 3 nights in 2009. 1st class site and facilities were immaculate, and I would not hesitate to return if we are in that part of France in future.
Its about 400 miles from La Bien Assise at Guines, near Calais, so it will be a long day.
have to agree with bryan that Chateau de Poinsouze is an excellent site BUT the area lacks appeal imho, if the sun shone then great but when we went for the first time it rained most days and we struggled to find things to do off site. We did enjoy an overnight stop there on the way home a couple of years ago.

Limousin has pretty villages and lovely country side, best for couples who just enjoy meandering enjoying it all, agree not so good for young families. we loved the area west of Limoges and will try to go back next year.
