Hi we are off to Brittany on Friday & would like to take the cadac , we arnt to keen on cooking with charcoal which I'm told is what you get on a canvas holiday site any body been to Les Mouettes carantec who knows if it's ok to use gas ? Thankyou

I can't imagine there are any sites that don't allow gas as 99% of caravans and campers will be using it in some way or other

Many French sites seems to have a no charcoal BBQ rule which is more likely

Ok Thankyou , we are taking a gas bottle also , because not sure if we could "pipe" into the tent gas supply . But saying that could we maybe purchase gas on site instead of carrying gas in the car ??

Don't forget it will most likely be Campingaz if buying in France and so you will need appropriate regulator. You could take one with you but you do need to secure it within the car properly

Can you not contact the site to ask what their set up is and if a gas BBQ can be used?

It's usually charcoal that isn't allowed. We're just back from Brittany, different site but we took our cadac and gas with us, no problems.

Sorry also meant to say if the site doesn't sell the gas then all of the supermarkets do and as sunshine says, it'll be campingaz.
