Go! It's fantastic. Love their caravans, and with no 'caravan oneupmanship' (i.e. My van is bigger/newer/shinier than yours) People very friendly, and with exchange rates as they are, our holiday this year was cheap as chips.

Nikki1171. Yes we like Holland too and aim to go again next April or May to see the bulb fields and Keukenhof garden - but the traffic over there and busy roads would worry nervous drivers. The big open roads in france are far easier.
We've been to holland four or five times now and find it very child friendly, just about everywhere. Lots of excellent facilities.
Only thing we found a bit of a bind was that there aren't free public loos anywhere, you have to pay 30c or 50c for them. Which is fine, if you have cash on you, but not if your husband has your bag and your 3 year old needs an emergency wee as they strictly enforce this, even in places like McDonalds, supermarkets and service stations. Once you've realised this rule is the same everywhere you go you do take to carrying shrapnel in your pocket at all times.
