I've always been open minded about naturism but find it interesting, from the picture, that showering is OK in public but the toilets have doors so not OK in public.
It's reassuring to know that naturist still want to maintain their modesty while on toilet - although don't understand why they wouldn't while showering.

------------- Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
To get back to the original thread....we stay on one site for 2 weeks. We always we make sure we go to an area with lots to do, and can travel fair distances for day trips. For example when we stayed at Le Neptune we day tripped to Nimes, Carcassonne, Oppidum D'Enserune, Aigues-Mortes etc. The idea of chopping and changing sites every few days is, for us, not a holiday. Probably because we have three children and it takes us ages to set up and pack down! Maybe when we are retired and have more time......(although I believe that by the time I get there, retirement age will be about 70 so who knows if I'll get that far!)
We do it all, swap units almost as often as we change the sheets and stay on sites for weeks, days or in a couple of cases hours! It is all dependent on family circumstances (taking kids and dogs/not taking kids and dogs), finances, the weather, amount of time available, camping neighbours etc etc. i've never felt the urge to stay put or move however based soley on the size of unit.

Can you see the 2 hooks at either end of the showers?....
Thank you tentz

By the time you travel to a site towing and get set up with the awning and sky dish, water and waste and all that goes with a move we don't feel like moving on the next day or even the next few. We choose our destination well bearing in mind site facilities, things to do and see in the area, walking and cycling routes etc - Homework.
That's why we stay for around a week at most places unless we are disappointed with our choice but that's exceptional really.
Only if it's a two day drive to somewhere do we have a one night halt.
I've been pitched on plenty of sites where I've watched a caravan pull up and in an organised manner they've unhitched, manoeuvred caravan, levelled, rolled out sun canopy, set out two chairs and a table and then wondered off to the pool or somewhere else. This taken them no longer than about half an hour and all before about mid afternoon. They then either stay the night or maybe a lot longer.
I have also watched motorhomes pull up, drive into the pitch, reverse out, turn round, reverse in - eventually trying all combinations before settling on which way to park their motorhome. Then they get the wheel blocks out - backwards, forwards until they get level. Sunscreens on all the front windows and sunshade wound out. Then the gear comes out - two chairs, table, sunloungers, bikes off the back, messing around with satellite dish on roof. Two hours or so later they are set up looking exhausted and I think that I could get my trailer tent set up quicker! They never just stay just the night always a lot longer.

We do 3/4 3 or 4 day stops down to Southern Austria for a six week stop and then the same coming home. Best of both worlds. There is so much beautiful scenery in S Austria to see you cannot get bored.

We loved Camping Kals in Austria, see pics on my blog - homepage above - Camping Abroad section. Possibly the best views from any site we were ever on.
