Hi we have decided to try and camp abroad this year, but instead of taking the tent and everything with we would like a ready erected tent or a chalet type thing.
Does anybody know of any good camps that cater for this that is close to disney. Also would we be better off having a site that and a shuttle or nearby train to take us to disney, im not sure about the parking etc.
We are going hopefully sat 24th august.
Would we be also better buying park tickets before we go.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance x

definitely buy tickets before you go as so expensive on the gate.
Park at Disney Village multistorey for 8 euros per day, instead of the main Disneyland carpark for 15 euros per day
The only site we have tried nearby is Le Chene Gris which we literally used as a base for Disney ( was perfect for this ) so cannot comment on pools / activities etc
Getting to Disney by car from either site mentioned is straightforward and I would second parking at the Disney Village multistorey - much cheaper and also closer to the parks, and again, straightforward to access.

Would recommend Les Etangs Fleuris - friendly, clean and took about 15 mins to get to DLP. I'd second the advice about parking in the Village multistorey as that was cheaper. I'd also hugely recommend buying the Francilien tickets from FNAC - it saved us a bucketload of money! Spend some time browsing the various Disneyland forums such as disboards.com - they're full of helpful advice that'll make your trip run smoothly.
We've booked the 4 Vents campsite which is approx 15 mins from DLP. We are bringing our own tent but I see from the correspondence I received from them that they have 5 person chalets to rent for €560 per week.
The reviews of 4 Vents on here are very good.
Hope this helps.
------------- 2016: La Garangeoire
2015: La Garangeoire
2014: La Garangeoire & hopefully a couple of weekends in Ireland
2013: Des 4 Vents, Ile de France & Portland , Normandy, O'Connors Riverside, Doolin
2012: Actons, Clifden, Co Galway; Interlude, Ile de Re; Salthill, Co Galway; Westport, Co Mayo
FNAC is a French website that helpfully is in English too (click the Union Jack). Interestingly, it is promoting children under 11 going free with an adult ticket (35 euros) until March.
The site seems to make buying these Francilien tickets quite easy! Which has not always been the case!
I stayed on the site recommended by whiterose last year. They have static caravans for hire, but I think they are through a third party.Very easy to get to DLP from there, but one word of warning,it is around a mile or so into Tourquin village from the site. That said it is a very good and well maintained site, and the facilities were kept spotlessly clean.

We stayed in a static with our 4 yr old at La Croix du Vieux Pont last year and was great! Big site, lots of things for youngster and apparently they have more new stuff planned to open this year.
We drove from site to DLP took just under hour and half and was really easy to find as road signs were good.
Have a look at a company called Lifestyle Holidays, this is who we booked with last year and were miles cheaper than the bigger companies on site. Caravan was basic but nipping clean and had everything we needed. We booked own ferry (dover-calais) too, drive around 2.5 hours from calais.
Hi coll26 I have just been looking at that site with lifestyle holidays, seems to be so much cheaper than other places and companies.
How many days do you think we would need at disney??? X
Hi Tatey. I have responded to your other query re lifestyle.
I can recommend the site mentioned by Whiterose. We stayed there with our caravan, on the way back from Spain. The site is a Haven site (as I recall?). It's about 30 mins from Disney by car. We parked at Disney in their carpark(massive!!). We went as a reccy for my daughter as she was going later. They did go,with their car, but used a B&B nearer to disney. Almost everyone on our campsite was there for Disney. We found it very hectic and very long days!. I think you need at least 3 days in Disney to see and experience everything. If we went again, we would do disney every other day (ie a day off, in between). If you want to see the fireworks as well...it will be a late night.
Get a rucsac and fill it with grub/drinks. You can hire a locker inside to store it.
We bought our tickets from the Caravan Club 6 months in advance. When we got to disney, our tickets were obsolete as they had modified the entry procedure, so we had to queue to swop.Although our queue was short. We went last week in June & disney was packed. Get in early and do the popular rides first. Later in the day, you will queue for ever (and foreigners do not queue...they push in)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
