Port L'Epine in Brittany (just, I think) is supposed to be a lovely family site. Our friends have stayed there - it's directly onto a beach - safe for children, with rock pools, etc., and lovely sand. There is an outdoor pool, and restaurant on site, but it's not your all-singing, all-dancing type place. There are some lovely walks in the vicinity. I'm going to have a look for the site on the internet, because I'm sure it will fit your bill. Are you taking a tent or caravan? Our friends had a tent, and had a pitch with a sea view, which they said was fantastic!! Hope this helps. Will get back to you with more details.
www.camping-port-lepine.com is the website, mentioned above. Check it out - you can get a translation into English. My friends said it was one of the nicest sites they had stayed on. Hope you enjoy it.
www.camping-port-lepine.com is the name of the campsite mentioned above - my friends said it was one of the best (family-friendly) sites they had stayed on. The website has an option to select English (Union Flag) and should give you all the information you need. Hope you enjoy it as much as they did. They had a pitch directly overlooking the sea, but sheltered from the wind. The whole coastline there is rather rugged, Cap Frehel has a nature reserve and the birdlife is wonderful, flowers too. There are excellent walks.

And some nice quiet enclosed beaches too, just north of Erquy. Gives a good view on the kids. I don't know what your experience is with the sea, so I may be a bit too partronizing, but mind the tide in Brittany and especially at these locations. It's very strong in that region. It comes in very fast. If they would be playing on a rock (pools, crabs, shells etc) and the crevace between two parts of the rock fills up they can get isolated. Same on certain sand banks.
And if it comes in fast, it also goes out relatively fast, so it can pull. Do the swimming when the tide comes in.
we have 2 kids (7+4) and spent ages looking for a smaller/informal campsite in Brittany wanted a pool and basics but not all night disco! (aren't we sad... must be age catching up!) anyway eventually came up with Keranterec which is inbetween Fouesnant and Concarneau - direct access to a beach - not used by Eurocamp or the like although does feature in Alan Rogers who were most helpful with advise
Narrowed choice down to four camp sites in the same area including camping le Raguenenes Plage (camping-le-raguenes-plage.com) / Les Pres Verts (www.presverts.com) and Le panoramic (www.camping-panoramic.com) tough call between all so let the children have the final choice!! (they of course went by the size of the water slide!) Really lots to choose from!
Have fun looking around - don't get too hooked on searching!
