Does anyone know of a well priced site between Liege and Brussels which will take a large caravan and where we can ge sky tv please? Want somewhere about half way between Irrel in Germany and Ieper.

There are very few campsites close to the highway (E40) between Brussels and Liege. I only know 2.

Campsite Bergendal (Loonbeek - Flemish speaking part of Belgium)

Campsite Au Val Tourinnes (Tourinnes-la-Grosse - French speaking part of Belgium)

We have used Campsite Waux-Hall at Mons a few times in winter when visiting the Xmas markets, but not for a while now. It is not between Liege and Brussels, but to the south of Brussels. You don't need to travel via Brussels to get to Ieper, as you can travel via the A15, A7 (Charleroi and Mons), and avoiding Brussels may be better anyway.

However, the site has a very old toiletblock and there are some trees on site, so perhaps a problem with satellite, so you may wish to look elsewhere. No reviews on UKCS, but some details HERE

Thanks both. The state of the loos doesn't bother us as we use our own, but too many trees is a problem.

I have found that De Binnenvaart at Houthalen which is an ACSI site is almost exactly half way, so I think we will use that. AA routeplanner suggests going via Antwerp, don't know if that's best, but it's only about 2 miles further than via Brussels.

To produce 'green' electricity (Solar panals were sponsered by the gouvernement a few years ago).
