We booked through Chadotel direct and had no problems, paid a deposit and the remainder on arrival. The statics look fine but some look quite small compared to a British static. They will also sort you out a quiet pitch if you request.
Just butting in as we have booked this site for 2013 via Chadotel website. We have requested a quiet pitch, based on the reviews. We went to have a look at it last year and we were very impressed. We have booked the last 2 weeks in August as the French schools go back so it should be quieter and it is cheaper.
We have also stayed at les ecureuils in hilaire de reiz for the past 3 years. The site is lovely - nice pool, good washing areas/showers etc. I have only been in May though when it is pretty quiet. I have posted a couple of reviews. If you have any specific queries, I can try and help.
Thanks Andrea, me and my husband just couldn't decided between the two sites but finally decided on my preference les ecureuils, mainly cause the pool area looks really great. Is there many restautants, etc in walking distance?
We have booked a static direct with the campsite have you noticed what the statics are like? Think we may be some where by the play area not sure if this is a good/bad thing. Some reviews do mention niose from the site next door but will have to see. This is our first time in France, can't wait!!
Perhaps l'ocean next year?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Andrea, we went in the last two weeks of August last year and asked for a quiet pitch. The first week was fine as we had neighbours but the second week there was a mass exodous around bank holiday and we were on our own. Although it was nice it was a little too quiet. We're going middle two weeks this year and asked for somewhere in the middle. Can't wait, it's brilliant.
