Near La Baume is Malpasset , where a large dam collapsed back in 1959 . You can walk to the base of the now defunct dam. Not everyones cup of tea but we found it quite interesting. Not one for a really hot day though.
We stayed at les pecheurs near Roquebrunne 2 years ago and loved Roquebrunne, little town, pretty with arcades. Market day but can't remember which day, Google will know !St paul de Vence and Vence are lovely , St P de V bit touristy but it won't be high season so should be OK. vence has the Matisse Chapel if you're interested, absolutely beautiful. Enjoy.
