Hi All

We are booked into La Yole, St Jean de Monts this summer and have been allocated pitches C34 & C35. Just wondered if anyone has been on these and if so how big are they etc?

Also any recomendation for good restaurants in the immediate area would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

we stayed right next to the play field, which was more than ample space, but vaguely remember them being a bit smaller than ours but with plenty of shade which we had none of, lovely fresh du pain every morning, wouldn't say the local town was famed for its restaurants, pizzas more so, lovely beach off the main drag to st jean better than the local one, easy reach by cycle after the karting/fair etc,

We're returning this year. It's a great little site (seen some bad reviews and think the people who wrote them must look for something different to us). The staff are one of the best features - always friendly and remember our faces from the previous year so we feel welcome (back).

If you want decent quality food and an absolutely fantastic setting by the coast, then visit the restaurant/cafe down the coast in St Giles - SION-SUR-L'OCEAN - Café de la Plage.

Have a look here...

Angela Bird's guide to the Vendee

My other recommendation for food/drink would be the village Sallertaine. Take a look on her guide and buy the book too. it's worth it. Enjoy!
