I am towing my caravan from Southern Spain back to the UK in November 2013. Can anyone recommend a site within 50 miles south of Calais that will be open during the winter months? I would need the same site in January 2014 on my return trip home.

Hi,

We have used the one mentioned in the link provided by 'madasaman' at Montreuil Sur Mer , Picardy Nord-Pas-de-Calais which was OK, however it is a bit further than the 50 Miles you are looking for from Calais.

This on again on the list is closer and has a few reviews about it.......

We were very happy with the site at Peuplingues (reviewed on here) and imagine that out of season it will be pretty quiet. If you're just looking for a stopover I would think it would be ideal.

I found out that Les Epinettes closes through the winter months. I have now changed my plans slightly and are now stopping on a site 150 miles south of Calais (Bresles). I will get a later ferry crossing, then stay on a site in Ashford (Kent) before my last leg up to Lichfield. Just waiting to see if I can get a discount code before I book the ferry!

I don't think people are looking at what the OP has asked. He wanted a campsite in November, apart from Montreuil Sur Mer  all the other sites close before the OP will be there!
