Ok it's not abroad but I'm sure returning euro travellers will have used a Premier Inn? There are £29 rooms at Folkestone and Ashford(2).
We have used Travelodge in the past but could try the Inns this time...anyone say which of these is best?
Travelodge might be cheaper if I hang on but not by much so will book something now for June return. Have already booked Premiere Classe Boulogne for the outward trip in May

we've used both at ashford and for an overnighter, there's not much difference...but if given the choice, the premier inns would be the winner for me.

Thanks cremated. (That's what my autocorrect calls you)
There are Inns at Ashford central and North. Do you remember which one you were at? Not expecting 5 star but clean and tidy is fine for a late arrival early departure.

We've stayed at the Premier Inn Channel Tunnel CT19 4AP. Late arrival, early start for the train. No problems, clean friendly and good breakfast. (only minor snag is it's a "cook to order" as opposed to buffet breakfast so takes a few minutes longer if your on a tight time budget.)

It was the Eureka Park Travelodge and premier inn we stayed at...it's just outside Asford right off the motorway.
