For the same amount of money you can have a year's UK cover, and unlimited trips to Europe, with ADAC.
Make sure whatever cover you take out suits you - if you need 'continuation of holiday' for instance if you breakdown before you get to your main holiday destination, then you need a different policy from someone just looking for a breakdown service which will take their car to a garage and the caravan to the nearest available site.
Old post, thought I would give QDOS a go, £46 for single trip car only, seemed a competitive price, fingers crossed that I don’t need to put there service to the test, not had to pay for European breakdown cover in the past, as the firm has always covered it in the past, current firm only covers repatriation of the car, and advised that I should get extra cover, probably overkill for a car that will be less than a fortnight old when we go, but you just never know do you.

I once had a 6 month old Vauxhall Cavalier firms car, that shod it’s cambelt at the peage Macon on a Friday afternoon, whilst travelling back North from Argeles Sur Mer, so we had a lovely extended three nights in a plush hotel near the river, courtesy of AA 5 Star breakdown cover, another £30 well spent back in 1989.
We needed them. Waited a while, picked me up, picked up car and family. Took us to petrol station and hey presto. More fuel and tinkering and we were away. (car showed 1/4 left). We decided to continue with our holiday and booked the car in with our garage at home for our return.
Anyway we were happy to recommend them. However we were not towing our trailer at the time. We chose them as they would recover our trailer too if needed.

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Has anyone used QDOS breakdown cover. Seems to be quite cheap, £100 for uk for a year and a single 2 week european trip in august.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
