I get the impression these are more popular abroad. Many camp sites will take a camping cheque for one nights camping... usually pitch+unit+2 adults... at certain times, normally off peak. Paying cash could well cost anything between €3 & €15 more than what you paid for the camping cheque, depending on the site tariff and time of year!
This post may have been better in the "Camping abroad" section, where a few similar posts have been made... although more commonly for a handful of cheques, rather than just one!
Many folk swear by them, over there.

I used them for a 6 week trip to The Netherlands in May/June last year and saved quite a bit. The advantage over money as far as we were concerned, was that you purchase them before you leave home which meant, in effect, that our campsites were already paid for.

Maybe right but there is a ready market for Camping Cheques although the OP would have been better off posting in the Abroad section where people are always asking if anyone has them to spare. Selling one cheque on ebay is hardly worth it as he will only get about £10 for it.
