I'm looking for some ideas for a couple of additional campsites to add to our holiday this summer. After a few days stopover we're travelling to Sequoia Park for 7 nights. We then have a further 7 nights and would like to be on route back to Calais. We have 2 children 11 and 6 and would be seeking a campsite with a good pool/slides etc./on site shop/bakery and where possible quite near a town. I'd be really grateful for any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
The municipal at Azay always gets rave reviews on here. Walk into town and one of the great chateaux of the Loire is right there, with a very good son-et-lumiere show.
We stayed at camping l'etang in the village of Brissac- quince last year.
Ticks all the kids boxes, and I believe you can walk straight into the village along the canal which runs through the site. Only a short drive to Angers too

We stayed at Sequioa park the other year and on the way home we stopped at Berny Riviere and really enjoyed it x then from there all the way back to calais.
On the way down we stopped at la grenouillere (spelt wrong!) i think it was in the loire valley.
