We're up the road in Longeville Sur Mer at Les Brunelles. It's great. A little larger and louder than we envisaged but kids loving the pool and slides. Just wish it was a tad warmer as quite chilly when the sun goes in! We went to Le Chaponnet in Brem Sur Mer last year and we would actually probably return there rather than here.
Hi
We arrive there on Sunday 23/8 for 7 nights and yesterday we did a bike ride on the cycle velo from jard sur mer and ended up at les brunnelles! We had a good look round the site and my girls can't wait to come as they love water slides it makes our site look a bit tame but it does look a big site, some of the pitches look cramped too, we've booked a premium pitch with water so i'm hoping we get a good one. It's really quiet where we are. Have you been to jard sur mer yet? If not it's worth a ride on bikes or car it's only 15 min bike ride and the port and centre is lovely. We're excited about changing sites on Sunday. Is the other site you stayed at far from here or close by? We're gonna have a look around more if we get chance and may venture to la rochelle and up to St jean de monts to look around.

We've went in 2012 and 2013 and love it.
The beaches at Conches and Rocher are superb and the pizzas at Aux Fin Palais (on the roundabout down to the port) are divine. If you like oysters go to the farms at La Guitterie.
Enjoy.
just had a day on the beach at Conches my girls loved the waves what a fab beach! We're loving every minute of the vendee and can't believe the negativity we've read on here! Maybe were lucky with the weather but we just think it's lovely.
We're slightly further North in the far South of the Loire Valley near Saumur. Day times are lovely but did need the fan heater last night - was a wee bit chilly.
Off into Angers tomorrow....
------------- Camping with three kids who have Autism... Never a dull moment!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
The sun went down here at 8.30 we've eaten our tea outside. I'm sat out but it does goes chilly at night, we've put our heating on once the other night for half an hour but we were sunburned! You do need a fleece or jumper at night and if your in a tent extra layers and a heater as the hot evenings aren't hot at this time of year but we prefer it, it's perfect
We cycled from Port Bourgenay to Sables d'Olonne - which I liked - big sea front, great beach, shops, marina and well, just life. Some people seem not to care for it but, having been once about 30 years ago, then 3 years ago, it still seems a pleasant town with things going on: a break from the tranquillity of forests and sand.
Oh, the beach at Le Payre near Port B was stunning too.
Do go to La Rochelle - if you go to the south side, you can park for free at Les Minimes port, then catch the solar powered boat into town. Just be aware that if it's a bit windy or very wet, the boats don't run.
It's really chilly here and even in a house I want the heating on!
------------- Camping - emotional resilience in action, a triumph of hope over adversity and antidote to virtual reality.

You should be ok as the pitches with water are pretty big. We only have a tent so just fitted our tent on and car is on edge of pitch. We're tucked away a bit with shade which suits us. Might see you as we're here until Wed. I have girls too aged 10 and 7. How old are yours?
We drove to La Rochelle yesterday, which was nice. We parked in Jard sur mer the other day and had a wander but missed the port area. Think I might hire a bike over the weekend to be able to cycle around. The girls and hubby have theirs but mine wouldn't fit on rack :( x

The other site was north of here above Les Sables D'Olonne. Probably around 50 min drive. It was just quieter. My husband hates all the entertainment etc and this site doesn't quiet down until midnight/1am whereas that one was quiet by 11. I'm wondering if this will clear out a bit over this weekend? X
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
