Camping Den Driesch, at Valkenburg, in the Netherlands: and located directly underneath the campsite are the picture-perfect Christmas market caves of Valkenburg ready for you to explore.
You'd also be near enough to do the market in Cologne too.
The Caravan Club are running a tour there, but the following week, so you should find space.
There is also Camping Berger, on the banks of the Rhine in Cologne. We've stayed there about 3 or 4 times now for the Xmas markets, and to be honest, rate it better than the one in Valkenburg.
Only stayed at Den Driesch once, but still can't get over the fact that when we turned up (hadn't booked) we were charged an admin fee!! I am Dutch myself, so tried to argue the point, but to no avail. Apart from that we personally found the site a bit of a disappointment, it felt a bit cramped to us. Since then we have always stayed at Camping Vinkenhof, just outside Valkenburg, in Schin op Geul. An ACSI site, it has a busstop nearby and is not far from Valkenburg, and we have always found it quieter than Den Driesch.
But of course Den Driesch is just outside Valkenburg, so obviously closer. Maastricht also has a nice Xmas market. Also, be aware there is a charge to enter the Xmas market in the caves in Valkenburg.
From Valkenburg you can also get the train to Aachen, which has a nice Xmas market too. So plenty of choice! Enjoy.
