I will be visiting Fussen (Bavaria) next month.(April) I wish to travel from there, caravan in tow to Bregenz on Lake Constance.
The route I wish to take is the A7 north from Fussen to J4 then West on the B12 to the A96 then south to Bregenz.
Has anybody out there done this route?
I wish to know the if its ok with a caravan.
Your info would be much appreciated.

Don't know, but you can use Viamichelin route planner and specify "trailer", that might help.

Many thanks for your reply.
I have been into Viamichelin and found out that the route
is ok for caravans.

                        BUT

About half a mile before you turn off the A96 into Bregenze you cross from Germany into Austria and you need a vignette which you buy BEFORE entering Austria. If you don't the Police will pull you in and fine you 120 Euro's.

I had a look on Viamichelin and added Caravan and it gave the route you specify. Check that it not a road through the mountains as there could be snow at that time. We have travelled through the Voralberg and it is quite high. Last year in early June when there we came across a main road that was shut.

If you are a Member of ADAC they will advise you or you could go into an ADAC Office may be one in Kempten.

Have been visiting this area for 30 years so if you need any more info please ask

Yes Bregenz is in Austria so you would need a vignette but it is only 8.70 Euros for 10 days £6.54 by to days exchange rate. Having one would give you the freedom to visit some other sights in Austria.
