Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how much it costs to replace/refill a campingaz 907 tank on average in europe?  Know it costs about £13 in the UK but is it more expensive overseas?

Have found it all depends on where, and which country.  Buying at a site in France was pricey compared with supermarket.  But generally not much different from here.  Cheaper in France, dearer in Norway.

 It costs about £4-50 in the hypermarche in Spain

I was just wondering how widely available 907's are in France? I have a 4.5kg (which I normally use) & 7.5kg butane in the garage, but was thinking of getting hold of a 907 as they are considerably smaller.

You cant get Calor Gas in France. The most widely available gas is Campingaz which is a French Company. It is widely available, even on supermarket shelves, garages etc and the prices are about the same as here. We use a 907 in France with the smaller 904 as backup.

Went down to my local dump today and picked up a 907. Felt like Grandad from the Only Fools and Horses Sketch , where he comes down the stairs after unscrewing the Chandelier!1 I was so pleased. Am new to this camping lark, really doing my homework on it thanks to this great site!!

Chap at the dump also gave me a campingaz stove and new cartridge. Then he banged on the window with a ROCKING CHAIR: what a nice bloke!!
