Thanks for responses. Agree common sense is key, but still need a new sat nav ! Looking at TomTom XXL Western Europe Classic Sat Nav - UK, ROI & WE - anyone have one of these and can comment ?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We use a four/five year old TomTom with , on my lap the France map, on top of that the AA road atlas( 2.8 miles to the inch). This system has proved to be fairly fool proof although I may pop into Halfords and ask about updates for the Tom Tom( and hope they will do it for me if I look pathetic!!) Common sense has a lot to do with it as well!!
