Hi
We are camping in france for the first time in July.
Our campsite is near Bordeaux (Le Tedey)
Our ferry comes in to Dieppe at about 11am so rather than travel down in one day we have decided to book a hotel for one night each way.
I'm after suggestions of where to stay about half way, would prefer to stay somewhere different on the way back if we can.
Looking for a hotel for the four of us that's maybe in a village or twon so we can soak a bit of the local atmosphere etc even if its just for a few hours.
Any help welcome :-)
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Half way would be the Loire Valley. We've used the "Hostellerie du Chateau" in Chaumont which is very pleasant and they have family rooms. It's a few years since we went but the food was pretty good and there was a pizza place next door where the kids ate.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
