We are about to embark on our second trip to the Vendee and thought that this time on the way back we would stop in a hotel to break up the journey and maybe fit in a trip to the Normandy beaches.
The reason for looking at a hotel and not another campsite is my daughter is 2 years old and my wife likes her luxuries so "just setting up" will not cut the mustard I am afraid.
So before I try to cobble together a rather poorly worded French email do you know of any hotels with adequate and secure parking for the caravan in the Saint Lo area or on the way up to Cherbourg?
Many thanks in advance.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Im guessing by the lack of reply, as after all there isn't much the fellow posters on here haven't done, encountered or stumbled upon but I'm guessing hotel-ling with a caravan on tow is not one of them, In fairness id not dream of it after all many hotels aren't as good as the caravan. How about a compromise stay in caravan overnighting, you dont really need set up and a Saturday Hotel with all the luxury's when home

Uttoxeter (Race days)
Le Serignan Plage (clothed one) August and Scheveningen on way back
Type your request into google translate, turn it into French then paste it onto email to hotel. Any hotel you consider can be seen on google streetview to check size of carpark. Otherwise pitch caravan nearby campsite and drive to hotel.
"4 En suite bedrooms", caravan storage, lovely place, really nice people, speak English--- well with an accent, (which you may recognise ),in the right area, why look elsewhere?
Last year on our way back from the vendee we stayed at a hotel called le Lion d or at a place called Brice en cogles,it em was a nice hotel with a massive gated car park at the rear.we parked our trailer here I think it's only about 20 miles from st lo,
Good luck

Lepuits was the first campsite we stayed on during our first ever trip to France in 2011.
The host's, if I remember correctly are Peter and Fran, they are so welcoming and friendly.
We stopped there to visit Arromanches les Bains, which is where my father landed on D-Day, Peter told me that the village of St Martin des Besace was the first village in France to be liberated by the British and that all the fields around the campsite was a battle ground.
It felt quite strange that my father might have been part of that.
I know it was a long time ago but be careful when you come into the village from the motorway, the Gendarmes were there every day with a hand held speed gun.
