Hi.  We would like to stay in the Strasbourg region this summer, and wondered if anyone can recommend a nice clean caravan site for us.  We have kids who would like somewhere to play, but we like quiet places.

Also looking for an overnight site near Trier, and somewhere on the way home between Strasbourg and Calais?

Thanks in advance.

We stayed just outside Baden-Baden and out of the two cities Baden-Baden was much the better place.  if you go to Baden-Baden you must go and try the Spa - it was excellant.

Will try and find the name of the campsite and get to you.

try Ile du Rhin, French site - quite big but quiet during the week.

Don't know any sites but if you are near Stras head to a town called Obernai its really nice and there is a great vinyard/wine tasting place.

Re Rob's post, there's an excellent municipal site at Obernai, only a few minutes walk from the beautiful town centre. Camp Municipal Les Vallon de l'Ehn.

Keep them coming!  I remember Obernai.  I drove on the left in the car park and startled quite a few locals!

We ate Tarte Flambe in an old wine celler, and were the only guests in the hotel, so were given the key and told to get our breakfast across the street in the cafe!

I'll check out the sites you've all listed at the weekend.  Thanks so far.
