We are hoping to drive down to Marina de Venezia near Venice in the summer ..we have a 5m bell tent with a gazebo +a pup tent ??in lots of reviews it is mentioned that the pitch sizes are large ?Has anyone any actual experience of this site?
Also...does anyone know how busy it actually is &do they recommend we book in advance ,especially as pitch size might mean we need a superplatz !
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not been to that site but the site we were on last September near Venice was pretty full (albeit with regular comings and goings) so booking probably recommended.
From their website the superplatz at up to 100sq m are big by Italian standards where 80 is much more the norm, but would be a normal size pitch on most French sites.
Hi, we stayed here last summer, albeit in a rented static on site. The site is absolutely huge - we were on the marina 2000 side over the'road' and a good 10/15 min walk to the pool. You need a bike to get round it. The site was full in August, so would book, but never felt owercrowded. Most of europes sites we found when looking have good sized pitches. Easy reach of port for ferry to venice itself or up to the lido jesolo. Bikes are essential for riding around teh area - we hired them for a week and couldn't have managed without them.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
