But that's one of the three numbers he said he tried already.,Val.
I know ADAC is good value, but this sort of oft repeated confusion over access, enrolment and renewal - and it is oft repeated - must put some people off.

Yes, I must say that when it was time for our renewal, we did think about it but due to, as you say, the oft repeated confusion over various issues, we decided against it. And in any case, our insurance for the MH has always had breakdown cover with it. We still shop round every year, but all insurance companies for MHs do offer breakdown cover with it as a package and on breakdown (no pun intended!) of costs is always very reasonable.
I did realise the OP had used the number I gave, but thought it might help to ask for a named person.
I must admit we haven't had a problem, either joining originally, or in renewing. We just phone the number I quoted, speak to whoever answers (they've all spoken English), give our card details over the phone, and that's it.
For us, with a car and caravan, it seems to be the cheapest option for breakdown cover in Europe - especially as we don't need all the bells and whistles that some policies provide.
Ms Amanda Moser-Wickles on the Regensburg No. 00-49-94-15-23-44 sent me an email two days ago saying there is no problem paying over the phone at that Office. She did say to me if anyone has a problem if I send her their Tel. Number. She will ring them back but best to give me a time you will be able to receive the call.
So if anyone would like to send me their tel no.to dvphillips14 at Hotmail .com I will willingly do this.
Ms Moser-Wickles did explain to me that at the moment some of the calls on that number are transferred to another office where the staff know little about the way Brits can pay. You see Germans cannot pay by cards over the phone.
You have been unlucky when you have rung I have never had a problem.

Rang the 00-49-94-15-23-44 and was transferred through to an English speaking guy - this may well have been in another office. He was very helpful, but said they don't do credit cards any longer. I gave him my IBAN and BIC and - fingers crossed - everything seemed to go through.
Hi, All, I used the 00-49-94-15-23-44 line yesterday to try and renew my membership but seemed to get a lengthy answer machine message which my schoolboy German was never going to understand. The line went dead an the situation repeated itself when I re-dialled.
Has anyone used this number in the last few days and can tel lme whether you get through to anyone?
This office is an extremely busy one. I know as I have visited twice. I was in there in April and was told they can take Renewal and Membership over the phone.. I did say in my last post above that some offices are refusing because Germans are not allowed to pay by Credit/Debit Cards..
With regards to the answer phone it tells you to leave your name and number and they will ring back. and in my case they always have..
Try emailing amanda.moser-wickles at sby.adac.de or Ann-Karin.zintl at sby.adac.de
If you telephone ask for one of these two names, they are the staff that deal with the Breakdown Membership. Others in the office deal with the Travel side of ADAC and are not conversent with the Breakdown Section.. Hope this helps.
Loely, many thanks. I realised that they may not be able to accept card payments so had my IBAN and BIC codes to hand. I will mail one of the above that you have mentioned.
Many thanks.

I am not sure that your iban and bic numbers will be able to be used as UK Bank details use not to be compatible with German ones. I would check if I were you with ADAC.
Last night I sent an email to ADAC with your queries on this Topic the result is I received this email from ADAC Office in Regensburg, which deals with the UK Membership.
They asked me to put these instruction on for contacting them .
The Office is so busy they often need to transfer their calls to another office.
Not every office can charge the fee directly from Debit/Credit Card over the phone like they do. That is a Special Service that Regensburg provides for the UK.
Anyone wanting to pay Renewal or Join ADAC should email
amanda.moser-wickles at sby.adac.de
ann-katrin.zintl at sby.adac.de
with their telephone number and time you are available for call back from the Office.
