For those with children, who like a full-on pool complex, there is an article in Le Monde du Plein Air listing twelve of the best in France. They are:

1. Les Sables d'Or in Agde (Pirates of the Caribbean theme)
2. La Sirene in Argeles sur Mer
3. Le Brasilia at Canet
4. Le Sequoia Parc at St Just-Luzac
5. Les Alicourts at Pierrefitte sur Sauldre
6. Airotel l'Ocean at Lacanau
7. Le Pommier at Villeneuve de Berg (Ardeche)
8. Domaine de la Rive at Biscarrosse
9. Mer et Soleil at Agde
10. Les Mouettes at Carantec
11. Airotel Le Vieux Port at Messanges
12. A brand new pool at Domaine d'Inly at Penestin

Les Mouettes has always been our favourite site, just wish it was further south and it would be perfect

Great list, thanks, we're looking for a site with a fab pool for our two boys (10 & 12) for next year.

I've had a look at quite a few of these online but hadn't seen that Number 10 had a new water complex.

My parents used to rent out mobile homes at Domaine D'Inly when it first opened (it must be nearly 30 years ago now) and the hedges were just saplings.

Would be lovely to visit that area of France again, so much to see thereabouts.

CHM Montalivet pool complex don't get a look in and that is pretty full on, flumes etc, so textile bias to survey.

And bare bottomed is the way to get down the flumes quickest.

La Sirene is excellent, although we preferred the smaller complex at their sister site L'Hippocamp - you can use either

Going to Les Alicourts on Tuesday but this is a great list to check for next year. Need sites with a nice water park and entertainment.

that is true, we spent more time in the river than the pool !

Best day was driving up to Carsac, jumping on a rubber ring each and floating back to Soleil Plage over the next 5 hours :-)
