Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Yes, seaside resorts out of season are beautifully peaceful, the October storms will be over and temps could be reasonably mild if it don't rain. Standing on a cool deserted naturist beach with wind blowing and the waves crashing is a good feeling.
are you camping?
if so there wont be much choice
if not camping the world is your Oyster. Paris, Nice, Beziers, Chatres, Avignon, La Rochelle, the list is endless
Are you a DIYer? If so, then fly down to Carcassonne or Montpellier, and stay with us in Cathar country, helping us with the work we need to do on our house, to put back the ravages of termites and termite treatments!
Beautiful area for cycling (if you're more than a flat lanes cyclist), Cathar Castles - nearest Peyrepertuse and Queribus, Abbeys, plenty of walking, village life, beautiful bread, and vans which call daily selling everything you need - including a lady who makes yoghurts and delivers four in glass pots in a little basket, for not much more than supermarket prices!
Do you have an ACSI card? A quick search on their website for campsites still open at the end of November offered a choice of 67. I would think you might find something suitable amongst those. I would go for something where the pool is still open, but you may have different priorities. www.campingcard.com
Thank you all for your replies, Im going over in my camper.. I'll take a look at www.campingcard.com I'm sure I'll manage to have a wonderful time.. Thank you all again

A lot of MH Aires will be available, but on a lot of them the water will be turned off at that time, so be aware of that if you intend using any of those.
