Hi Everyone
We have just booked for 2 weeks in Brittany(north and south)for August-silly prices month.1 week in a tent and the 2nd week in a static(I know its cheating for camping).
Have been looking at the prices for Brittany ferries and seem rather more expensive than when we last went 2 years ago.
Been looking at the discount club but does not seem to be worthwhile for going once in a year so wondered if anyone has a code they could share.
We had one off one of the campsites last time we went but
where we are going this time do not seem to be offering any.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Many thanks veema
Incidentally we are camping at camping du logis at la chapelle aux filtzmeens-northern Brittany we havnt been but seems to get good reviews-has anyone else been then we are going to camping les embruns at le pouldu where we have been 4 times.
it depends on what ferry route you will be taking. the channel tunnel is about £400 cheaper cheaper for the crossing dates i was looking at end july to beginning august. this was compared to booking with ferry savers or Brittany ferries directly. however i wanted to get a ferry to britany directly from plynmouth or poole etc to save driving to folkstone then back west.
i eventually booked my ferry with my campsite (eurocamp independent) and the ferry for the same times and route was something like £560 return rather than £820 if i booked it separately. but if you can justify the additional driving time (travel time not much more because ferries are so slow) i would choose the tunnel every time.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
