Hi. We're booked on a 120mtr pitch with water and drainage through the Caravan Club. Does anyone know if the water connections are the hose push-on type that we have here? Also any info about the site would be good.
Thanks

Dave

I can't tell you about that site specifically, but I have found that most sites seem to use screw connectors. We usually keep a variety in the van, with a watering can as an emergence back up!

Dave, A phone call in the morning to the Caravan Club who have booked it for you. They will have checked out the campsite. Good luck.

Not sure about the connector types. I think the advice to phone the CC is the best route. I first visited the campsite in 1997 and have been on and off five times since, always in a tent and always in summer. The last time I went was in 2008.

Good points: It is a superb campsite. Well worthy of its 5* status. The pool complex was busy but excellent. Amenities for children are very good, as are the sports facilities for adults (excellent tennis courts, etc). The on-site supermarket and bakery offer excellent value for money. The buses to and from the beach area are regular and air conditioned. It was always amazingly hit whenever I stayed at the campsite so any form of air-conditioning was always most welcome. The maintenance of the site was always excellent, for example the brushing of the pine leaves happened every other day to keep pitches clean and tidy. Gerona and Barcelona, Rosas are all great and are very easily accessible. The local beach is great (wear flip flops or prepare for very burnt feet) and even has a beautiful nearby nudist cove if you fancy being a bit daring and liberated!
Bad points: Pine sap leaking from the trees all around the site: not great on canvas. The site isn't easy to walk to and from; generally speaking, travel off the site by car/bus or be prepared for a long and sometimes hair-raising walk beside a busy main road. The beach is pretty much a drive away: you can walk there (see last point) but after a while it becomes a bit of a drag to keep waiting for the bus. Still, if you vary it by staying on site for the excellent pool, then you will keep cool and relaxed.

Overall a really fantastic site which I plan to go and visit again in the next couple of years.
