Loose plan of major stop offs now decided, but flexible and subject to change ;)
Friends in Nantes, so will definitely be stopping there, and first stop of booked in an Air BnB place with friends (not camping, but hey!) near Saint Sebastien, Spain.
Santander > Ezkurra > Salies-De-Bearn > Bordeaux > Chauvigny > Nantes > Rennes > Roscoff
While it would be less expensive to do Roscoff both ways, or Portsmouth instead of Plymouth, we have chosen Santander for the experience, and to minimise driving in the UK. The plan was always to do it on a tight budget, very tight budget, even before we decided to to the Santander crossing.
It's an educational adventure, part of that is about budgeting, and 'roughing it' at least some of the time, rather than luxury and mod cons ;) We did similar a couple of year ago when we spent two weeks in Naples and Rome, doing the return journey from Cornwall by train.
